Since 2017, STEM Santa Fe has hosted an annual Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival for kids in the community.

On April 14, 2022, 67 students attended the event at Santa Fe Community College. All students were 8th graders from Carlos F. Vigil Middle School in Española, 100% of whom qualify for free or reduced lunch.

97% of students rated the math festival positively at the end of their time exploring the activities. The hosts also reported a 10% increase in students’ confidence and growth mindset towards math as a school subject.
